Camden, N.C. – [September 5, 2025] – Camden County Schools has released its 2024–2025 state accountability performance results, showing that students across the district continue to outperform state averages in nearly every subject area.

Districtwide results reveal that 65% of students achieved grade-level proficiency (GLP) compared to the state average of 55%, and 41% met College and Career Ready (CCR) standards, outpacing the state average of 35%. These outcomes demonstrate the district’s continued commitment to rigorous instruction and student success.

Camden students posted some of the strongest results in mathematics and science:

  • Grades 3–8 Math: 67.8% proficient, nearly 12 points above the state.

  • Grade 6 Math: 78.3% proficient, a standout success.

  • Grade 5 & 8 Science: 81.3% proficient, more than 20 points higher than the state average.

  • English II: 74.2% proficient, an increase of 20 points from the 2023-2024 school year.

Additionally, Camden County is proud to report a 5% increase in high school graduation rate with a 2024-2025 report of 93%.

β€œThese results reflect the incredible work of our teachers and students, especially in math and science, where Camden continues to set the bar high across the state,” said Dr. Ratliff, Superintendent of Camden County Schools.

While we celebrate these achievements, Camden remains focused on state initiatives that include building stronger foundational reading skills in the early grades and ensuring that high school students are fully prepared for college and careers.

The district remains confident that with continued focus, every child in Camden can achieve at the highest levels.
