Camden County Schools in Camden, NC, invites vendors to respond with proposals for the installation of dark or lit fiber optic cable to connect our present high school at 103 US Highway 158 W, Camden, NC, and our future high school under construction at 250 NC Highway 343 North, Camden, NC. The fiber optic connection should be capable of a minimum of 10Gbps, over single-mode fiber that will be terminated into fiber patch panels at both ends. The future high school will provide conduit from the street into the building, while it is unknown if there is an open conduit into our present high school.
Project Overview:
Camden County Schools wishes to procure leased/owned dark/lit fiber and is soliciting proposals for services to include installation of all fiber optic cabling and all necessary equipment to facilitate connectivity between the two buildings, including but not limited to fiber optic cable, fiber patch panels, fiber management, and/or termination into existing network racks, connectors, etc. The total distance between buildings is approximately 1.5 miles. All work must be completed in the month of July 2026.
